Join the Raising Readers Community!
With a step-by-step guide to supporting your child, along with easy to play, minimal set up required games and activities to try, as well as easy-to-access support, your child will be making huge steps in their reading in no time!
The Raising Readers Community is an online portal where you can access a huge range of video lessons as well as activities, tools and resources. As soon as you purchase a membership, you'll be given access to the Powerful Parents Portal. Inside are 6 core sessions (broken down into 10 minute sections) where you can start understanding how your child learns to read and implementing methods to suppor them.
You'll also have access to the monthly content where you'll get more specific support for your child's age and ability level. Each month you'll get another practical 'step' as well as everything you need to support your child with it.
The Facebook group and Support sessions are there to help you if you ever get stuck, or need some guidance on how to support your child, so you can help them over that reading roadblock quickly and get them back on track.
All the content in the community is yours for as long as you remain a member!
The Raising Readers Membership is designed to help you through every stage of your child's reading journey, from recognising their first letter to thinking more deeply about entire books. Each month, you'll be given specific resources and activities to help guide you and your child through the next step of reading in a structured manner.
All resources remain in the Community area for you to refer to throughout the year, for as long as you stay in the Community.
The Powerful Parent's Portal - where you can learn exactly how your child learns to read and gain insights into how you can help them, leaving you confident that you can start supporting your child as soon as you join.
Monthly content updates - for both Reception (under 5s) and Year 1 (over 5s), giving you a step-by-step guide for how to support your child with their reading throughout the year. Each monthly update includes flashcards, pronunciation support, activities and resources tailored to your child's stage, so you can make learning at home fun and engaging for both of you!
Involved assessment support - to track your child's progress, see how far they've come and ensure you know exactly what their next step is. Not only is there a phonics tracker, to track what sounds your child knows, and which ones they're still learning, but also a skills tracker to help you spot any areas your child needs more help with, and a 'reading skills thermometer' you can complete with your kids, so they can track their progress too!
The focus of the Raising Readers Community is you. I very much listen to members about what would be most useful for them each month, and create resources according to that. If you feel your child needs to be challenged, let me know and I'll get on it. Equally, if you feel your child needs more support, I'm here to help with that too! This Membership really is about you and your family and enabling your child to access reading in a way that works for them.
Absolutely! Within the membership there are 2 levels of content - Reception (-5) and Year 1 (5+). You have access to both as soon as you join up and will be able to use any and all resources. If you have multiple children, you'll be able to access activities to suit them.
Equally, many of the activities have strategies to help you extend or make them easier to suit your children, meaning that you can play the same game with multiple children!
As soon as you join, you'll gain access to the Raising Readers Facebook group, only for members of this course. In there, you can celebrate any wins or ask any questions you may have and myself and other members of the community will be there to celebrate with you or support you when needs be!
There are also fortnightly Q&A/Support sessions where we can go more in depth into any reading roadblocks you may be facing and work together to overcome them.
Also, if at any time, you need more support, my inbox is always open!
