  • Build your skills as a child & adolescent therapist

What to Expect

We will explore common misconceptions about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) to help understand what this disorder really is. This training will then identify red flags to watch for when working with child & adolescent clients, and often comorbid diagnoses that can mask the OCD. We will review the current most up to date research on evidence based treatment modalities and models to conceptualize the disorder and impacts on individuals and family systems, including the role of accommodation.

Objective 1

List at least 3 red flags to watch out for when considering OCD diagnoses

Objective 2

Identify the current evidence based treatment modalities for OCD and how to conceptualize OCD in a clinical model.

Objective 3

Describe common misconceptions regarding OCD.
